The beaches
As close as possible to our gite, about 30 minutes, we advise you to the beaches of Petit or Grand travers, direction Carnon passing by Mauguio then direction La grande Motte. You will have access to a large parking lot and a few steps from the beach, no building, just the dunes and the beach! At some exits of the parking, you will find free showers.
If you are looking for a large deserted beach, about 50 minutes away, direction le Grau du roi, the beach of l'Espiguette. Paid parking and a bit of a walk to get to the sea, but great spaces guaranteed!
If you prefer pebble beaches, head for Frontignan, the beach of Aresquiers about 45 minutes away. Or Palavas, a small typical marina with its lively restaurants and casino, the opportunity to eat a good ice cream!
The river
Our favourite river spot is about 40 minutes away from the gîte: St Etienne d'Issenssac. There are shaded areas where you can picnic by the river Herault. The only drawback is that the area is very popular, so go in the morning to get the best place! Discover the place in video and in pictures here.
Another nice place, a little further after Ganges: the Cascades de la Vis.
Possibility of canoeing in St Bauzille de Putois, here are two suggestions: Canoe Le Moulin and Canoe 34.
